Re: Hello from Lansing area!
Hello from East Lansing. Females have made both styles of armor you are thinking about, so anything can be sized to what you need for yourself. You are right in that the Howzer would likely be the easier of the two kits to do as your first one, since vacuumformed kits of that phase 2 style are readi...

Re: Hello from Jackson
Hi Sean! I was one of the guys who met you at MCCC last time and had you come back to our booth to talk to our long term Clone guy in our changing space. Glad you worked with the Clone Trooper Detachment and got yourself a new "Sideshow figure version" that was a first for the 501st ! :mrg...

Indeed. Not to mention Michigan's largest comic con is May 17-19, so depending when you're here in state, you might be here then.ChillyWill22 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2024 7:15 am Greeting . Check out our events in May . There is usually quite a bit of them and welcome.

Post a pic of how the inside looks. There's usually ways to fiddle around with lens placement to get them closer to the eye openings.

Re: Can we use EVA foam?
While I've seen some seriously awesome looking EVA costumes of all sorts of genres at conventions, it seems none of the Star Wars costume groups (501st/Rebels/Mando Mercs) allow EVA foam armor builds. Some accessory pieces, sure, I can see that being done. But for main armor kits, I've never persona...

Re: New person
That checklist sheet in that picture says Imperial Surplus. As far as I know, he's the only 501st vendor who even makes this armor. So yes, once the hard armor parts are trimmed / sanded / glued together and strapped to fit your own body, you should be good to go. In the meantime, submit the Juno pi...

Re: New person
Gio is one of the normal 501st footwear vendors, and the two boots you pictured are the same two that are shown in the CRL, so you're good to go with whichever one you like.

Jimmiroquai is the only one making Crosshair armor currently. It's flexible fiberglass, not vacform. But it still exists as a kit.

Re: New to the group
What Aether said. If it's one of the "main character ones" from the TV show, that would be a place to go. But if it's a custom Mando of your own design, then this is where the Mando forum is to ask whatever you need to know: https://mandalorianmercs.org/forum/index.php

Members were talking about it on the Facebook group last week, but it appears since no theaters submitted actual 501st requests, it's up to us what we do or do not for that date.

They have had the garrison out at every one of their cons, so it will get posted in the events section whenever they submit it for the April show. Their main con is still in November this year.

I use black nomex flight gloves. The longer cuff tucks nicely into the forearm armor.

From what I've seen, some armor kits do have the plastic film cover and some do not.
