Re: Obi-ron's TK building project - ESB
Honestly, the reason I am taking so long is due to my lack of confidence in being even remotely handy, and nervous about ruining my outfit. Don't let that be your hang up. You really can't screw it up to the point that it can't be fixed. If something gets really messed up (which it shouldn't) you s...

Re: Obi-ron's TK building project - ESB
Sorry for all these questions, n0c00lgamertag, but I have another. The cover strip for the butt join on the thighs - is it 20mm wide? That's what the tutorial said, but I have 15mm strips on my arms. Is this correct? Ow, you got me on that one. I know my thigh cover strips are bigger than any up to...

Re: Obi-ron's TK building project - ESB
The thight pieces are going to go together how they go together regardless of whether you do the front of the armor before hand or not. What you will have have to do most likely is trim up the cod piece area when you do your fittings to eliviate what is known as "armor bite". A very real a...

Novus 1, 2 and 3 if you are looking to get scratches out of any plastic material. Your nearest TK should have some.

Re: Where to start, NE armor build...
Greetings all, I have received my NE armor in the mail today and have all of my needed parts for assembly except a canvas belt. I have been looking at pictures and other tutorials on FISD sight, but still am at a loss for a start. I already have a helmet kit completed from RS Props. If possible is ...

Armor parties happen from time to time, usually in conjunction with an upcoming event. They will get posted just like everything else. Or, you could host one yourself for probably the cost of beer. Where abouts are you located?

Re: Tactical Boots ?
That seems like a bit more work than you need to do... Dyeing that is. Go with a CABoot or a TKBoot and put in an aftermarket footbed. That is what most do. Mine are set up that way and I can be in them all day without problems. They are actually quite comfortable. Don't forget any boot you get has ...

Re: Which TK to build? ANH or ESB
The overall kit is the same. Just specify when you order that you want ESB hand plates. If they don't offer them, they cost about $15 on FISD if I remember correctly. The mouth paint is the big helmet difference on the helmet like mentioned before. ESB specific stickers can be ordered inexpensively ...

I've found Jo-Ann seems to have more crafty stuff than Michael's. Last time I was at Jo-Ann's for Velcro they had half an aisle of different colors and widths.
