Re: New trooper looking for boots and a blaster

I got my boots from TK Boots (http://www.tkboots.com/) and my blaster was a Hasbro mod. Definitely check out the FISD forums at whitearmor.net.

Re: GRAND RAPIDS metro area TK armor party

OK, I would like to plan one. But I need help with adding plastic not trimming. With the chest armor, legs, arms. So it's not as easy as just trimming. So need some more advanced help from the bigger troopers. I used a plastic welding technique to add the shims to my TK kidney plate. Here is a link...

Re: Future Member

We've had a few armor parties in the past but the problem is usually trying to find a central location to meet. Where are you located in the state?

Re: ATA, not so steady, build

If you do use the stencil, I have a trick you can use. Once you get the stencil in place, apply a base color of paint before you paint the stripes. For example, when you paint the tube stripes, put a coat of white paint on the template first. Once it dries you can paint the blue over top. This preve...

I need to figure out how to do the tube strips and cheek strips so I can get those painted on as well. Might end up purchasing a template from trooperbay, but was trying to figure it out otherwise..

I would go for the Trooperbay templates. It will save you a ton of hassle.

Yes sir. That one will have to be reduced for sure but shouldn't be too difficult.

Re: ATA, not so steady, build

Looking good. Put all of the rubber trim in place before you redo anything. You might not need change it if the rubber covers it up.

I've never had a problem with mine either. The screws work fine and allow for adjustments later.

I agree with Andrew. The ears look fine and the gap is almost unavoidable. Nice job!

Re: ATA, not so steady, build

One other suggestion for you. Screw it together with screws and bolts before you rivet it. This way it can be adjusted easily until you get the build done. Once everything is finished and lined up, you can rivet it if you still want to.

Re: ATA, not so steady, build

The brow looks ok to me and the ear angle is also ok. The left ear is good but you might want to trim the right ear a bit more. The bottom looks a little thick. If you have a belt sander you can also flatten the ears a bit, otherwise keep going your doing great! http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa...

That's normal for those boots. Akiyo and I both have the same problem. You'll get used to it, and they stretch a little after a while.

I'm going to come out and lend a hand. I'll bring my ATA armor for reference as I've got some clean up work I can do on it.

Anyone who has not built a TK before should browse this thread. One of the FISD staff is doing an Anovos build thread as he goes, with photoshopped images on where to cut the pieces, etc. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/35086-ukswraths-anovos-tk-build/page-1 This is definitely a good thread t...

Re: ANOVOS TK thread

Hey guys does ANOVOS do custom dimensions? Specifically 5'2 and female build? I wanna know before I save the money None of the armor makers do customization. Each maker has a set mold that is used for their armor so you would need to customize it to fit you. That is part of the reason it takes a wh...
