Re: Balaclava?
I got mine from Amazon. Great price, and it's comparable to the more expensive Under Armour. Very comfortable, and lightweight. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00S0YA5GM/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1475545112&sr=8-2&pi=SY200_QL40&keywords=balaclava&dpPl=1&dpID=41Zgb6f5a8L&...

Attention Prospective Biker Scouts!!!
Prospective Biker Scouts and Kashyyyk Troopers: The Pathfinders Detachment has sanctioned squads, called Advanced Recon Teams. This is not mandatory, but a fun opportunity to come together as Pathfinders and help each other build/upgrade our costumes to the best Scout armor possible! If you don't ma...

Re: Boot opinions for TIE Pilot
Believe it or not I found two pairs of boots at the Goodwill outlet in Grandville. All leather and should have no problem with being accepted. Had to cut off the strap on one pair across the top of foot. Only paid a few dollars for them!!! Should be great for the Tie Pilot. :D Nice find! I ended up...

Re: Boot opinions for TIE Pilot
Yowsa! Hey, if he builds a Scout he might have an easier time finding regular work boots in his size for the base boot, then he can builds the Scout boots off that.DeafTrooper wrote:My nephew wants to join but I know finding any kind of boot will be though for him, as he wears a size 15! LOL

Re: Boot opinions for TIE Pilot
Thanks, Majafu! These are actually from a google search result for engineer boots. A lot of the others that I've seen have pressed emblems or crazy strap/ring things going on. I'm still on the hunt for something in a Knobelbecher that will fit, but I'm trying to get a plan B... It sounds like boots ...

Boot opinions for TIE Pilot
Jackboots/Knobelbechers are proving to be hard to find in my size and price range. I've got a Sears gift card sitting around, so I thought I'd check out some Engineer boots for my TIE project. I'm hoping for some input on a couple pairs of boots from any of our Pilots and of course Mr. Code :) Going...

Re: Armor assistance Mid Michigan
Hiya, Billy! I'm right down the street in Bay City. Like Dan said, we've got a little crew here in Mid Michigan, and one of us is even a TK! I'm a Scout, so I don't have experience with full body armor, but a couple guys here do. I'd be happy to help where I can. Glad to have another Trooper nearby!...

And be patient. It's possible that the requirements for EPVII costumes won't be cemented until after the movie is released.
But please keep us posted on your project!

Re: New Biker Scout
You'll want to sign up on bikerscout.net for all things biker scout :) There are also variants in spec ops, like the Shadow Scout (all black) the Swamp Trooper (green) and the camo Scout would most likely be the Kashyyyk Trooper. While not exactly the same as the ROTJ biker, it's similar and camo. S...

Re: ANOVOS = Argh! (now I have to make a decision)
RS Props already does their own TK armor out of PVC. They also offer ABS, but from what I've seen, pretty much everyone orders theirs in PVC from them for whatever reason. ABS is what the movie suits were done in, but PVC is very high gloss for the "idealized" appearance. So for the guys ...

I swear I saw a tumbleweed blow through the Commissary. I hope everyone is having an awesome time at C4. We'll be there next year for sure! In the meantime, I'll be showing the GLG love in Sterling Heights while Mastodon and Clutch rock my face off  http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb36/ia...

I know the Scout Armour/Bucket they sell is Star Fortress, and it's pretty atrocious.
