Re: Clone Trooper Build the 327th
1. E6000 is, in my opinion, the best for armor assembly. It holds strong, sticks to about anything, is flexible, paintable and can be easily removed, if needed. Most of the other adhesives can be messy and are hard to remove if needed. The only draw back to E6000 is it takes 24 hours to cure. 2. bon...

Looks good Heather! You're almost there. You look on track to beating your sister in joining the 501st.*

Re: Tube stripe replacements/help
As we already discussed, back at Youmacon, you need to: 1) Pull the transfer paper off the "newer' tube stripes that you put on. This should have been done after you put the "newer" stripes on. The transfer paper is only used to help you in the placement of the stripes and is not need...

Allison, I spoke with Rome and he thinks the boots you have are acceptable enough for membership.
All I think you need to do now is close the collar and your good.

Re: New ISB Officer
Here are the boots I have for my ISB officer. http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f59/stiger1/6006smoky_lrg_2.jpg Thanks Shannon. That is more along the lines of what I was thinking. The CRL states the following: - Lace-less, ankle high boots/shoes with a conservative heel and no buckles, Velcro, sna...

Looks good Allison. As Heather stated you will need to make sure the collar is closed. The shoes also look like they have a bit of a higher heel than they should.

Great job Anna! It looks great. That was a quick build. Now you need to finish your other Mara costume so you can join the GLG.

Re: Imperial Officer- WIP
I was just worried if I leave battery in it may degrade and leak acid all over the inside after awhile. As long as you don't bondo over the screw to the battery compartment, you can still access the batteries to change them. If you want to cover up the screw hole and don't want the sounds, make sur...

The prices are to low, there is something up with this site. It to good to be true! I agree. After looking at the site, I noticed references to 3 other business names from their testimonials and their "about us" (SwordCorp, SouthwestBlades and Kingdom of Swords). a seller that changes nam...

Re: Costume storage needed
I got mine at Home Depot. It's a Stanley 50-gallon rolling trunk. My whole Vader fits in there if I pack it just right. Home Depot seems to be the only place that carries the Stanley 50-gallon tote. They only keep about 2 at a time. So if your local store doesn't have one, check back later. Lowes c...

Re: my first costume..but help needed
Have you thought about maybe doing a Stormtrooper? At 5' 7", you can pull off a Stormtrooper a lot easier than a Vader. And Stormtroopers can be lots of fun, plus you get to hang out with Vader. You will still need tools and skills but they can be bought and learned. I had never used a dremel b...

Re: DL-44 Blaster
Try Jedi Mickey on the Rebel Legion boards. He has a resin conversion kit for a airsoft Mauser. He also does fully assembled ones, if you want to go that route. The airsoft Mausers can be found on ebay fairly cheap(under $20 for the plastic ones). You can get a metal one there too but it would be ki...

Re: Helmet refurb assistance
I agree with Terrell. It's all personal preference. What ever you go with, I suggest you install it with industrial strength sticky back velcro. That way it's re-positionable and you can swap out pads for a liner or vice versa. I know someone who is swapping out their helmet liner for pads right now...
