Stay away from Rubies. The link below on whitearmor is where you want to be and everything you want to know about Stormtrooper Armor.

In a nutshell, you'd be asked to pay Cadillac prices for a Chevette.

This is the absolute, best thing you can do. Be sure to ask questions and double check your research before buying anything. It's better to spend a little extra time now researching than spending a lot more cash later trying to fix a mistake.

I agree with Mow - Read, read, read, ask questions, read, read, read, ask more questions...... oh did I mention read.... I almost bought one of those pre-built jobs from the shop across the pond in England, but found the FISD site before pulling the trigger. I am so glad I did. I am very happy with my armor and how it turned out. Take your time have fun - it will be worth it!

Good Luck

Rubies are no better than the junky ones at the halloween store. A waste of money in terms of fit and quality.

WhiteArmor.net will get you something you can be proud of, something that is movie accurate, and something that fits your body.

I built mine using white armor information, few hours a week... took about 6 months just poking around and doing a little bit at a time.

Here's an honest review of the Rubies armor (if you haven't decided already to stay away from it!)...

I have seen both the strom trooper and vader costume at a Halloween store while going to Tandy leather
to pick up a belt buckle for officer costume and it was so bad,the helmet alone was not film accurate
especially the eye lense they were bulging out like one of the simpson character
I hope this was helpful with your question :D
