TK Help! I have an opportunity for a TK. need help!

I have been searching for over a year for TK armor. Something that I could troop in since my Vader will be just for small type kid events. A guy on the white armor site has a complete armor for sale and thinks it would fit me. Would this be a good buy for me? Or should I wait for an ordered set and forgo someone else's problems.
THANKS!!
Here are the specks:

The guy is 5'9 and 125lbs. AP is screen derived. Without shimming it fits 5'10" 150-160 lbs perfectly. The guy said that 2 inches and 30 lbs isn't a lot for TK armor.

Here is the guys plea:
With the new school semester starting I have some tuition to pay off and I'm unfortunately going to have to sell my AP TK armour, but in the mean time I have a new suit I'm slowly getting together. The suit is a basic ESB and should be up to snuff for EIB, but I just never submitted myself for approval.

The armour has yellowed a bit to a mild cream colour due to the desert sun; it might be a good candidate for a sandtrooper conversion. The costume has some wear and all cracks have been repaired. The interior of the helmet is black with Plastidip and the lenses are shade 3 green.

It depends on the price an how bad the yellowing is. I would have to see a lot more photos. If the helmet is badly yellowed it might not be worth it.

The first pic looks like it has some pretty bad yellowing(at least on my monitor) on the back plate, kidney, and the butt plate. The legs look like they could be bad too. Not sure if it's the picture, the lighting, or the actual yellowing he described.

The size of the armor would be fine but I would be concerned with the yellowing and the cracking that has been repaired. Did he provide pics of the repairs?

Unless it's a really good deal and you want to re-paint the entire suit or turn it into a sandy, I would pass on it.

I found the for sale thread on FISD and the guy wants over 1,000 for it. Because of this alone, I would pass.

Here is the thread:

I see his is offering to paint the entire kit. I would offer him $500 and you paint it yourself so you know it was prepped properly. But that's just me.

Thanks a bunch! Yeah the guy said he would repaint it...as I have no painting skills except for working on model cars for 25 years. I am just worried about the fit. Wish the guy lived closer so I could try it on.

There is another one listed on Ebay for $1,000. It was linked to ebay and posted on the 501st forums. It looked really really nice and not yellowed. ESB TK. I can try to find the link if your interested but you could probably just do a search on ebay.

Thanks Jim!

On the "white armor" website...heed this warning:

Avoid kits on Ebay for the reason that was mentioned above, since they are 99.9% re-cast.

I am not sure if the listing you have is a "kit" or through someone, but if you can post it here and I will send it to the white armor website and let them tackle it.

Not completely sure, but I think I saw it on the 501st forums. It is someones used costume.

It's an FX kit and you would be swimming in the armor. You need a more accurate kit which will also be smaller.

Right now there isn't anything on ebay to even consider bidding on.

The owner of that kit is a tiny little guy. It would probably fit DK. However the age, yellowing and damage for $1000 is too much.

Lowball him and I or others can help you repaint it.

Get a TK kit from our "local" vendor. We can help you build it. :D

I also gave her a quicker, easier idea for a costume to get her in(complete with links to many of the pieces). She could throw it together quick and start trooping, all while continuing to work on her Vader.
