Sith question
If we wanted to be a SITH, can we create our own character, or does it have to be on referenced somewhere in a movie or book?
I'd like to have a costume like Luke's ROTJ black outfit, but wear red contacts and be a sith.
Of course, being a TK is a LOT of fun, but for some events, it might be nice to show my face... and wield a lightsaber.

Re: Sith question
To have it accepted under 501st rules and to get the SL designation (or any other prefix, depending on the costume), no. Custom characters aren't allowed. But if you want to make one up and don't care about the profile photos, ID#s and all that jazz, then bust it up, man!
While a bunch of folks elsewhere in the Legion will start yammering about ERMAHGERD CANON CERSTERME!!! and all that nonsense, the vast majority of events in MI aren't LFL-official so nobody really should be caring THAT much.

Re: Sith question
Great to hear! I won't have to worry about getting it approved then.
Yes, most of the Canon events, I'd want to wear the TK anyways.
Just would be nice to switch it up for non-canon events.

Re: Sith question
I have a some-what related question. Money is extremely tight and I don't have the money for a approvable clone blaster right now. Even though they are smaller, would anybody really care if I just used a painted Hasbro one until I'm able to get one?

If you wanted to be non-cannon and wear your TK, you could be a Muppet Trooper!

Re: Sith question
I can just about guarantee that nobody's going to care for any of our events, and most of us who aren't clones won't even notice the differenceDeafTrooper wrote:I have a some-what related question. Re: Sith question
Ok, thanks! With me being fairly new to the group, wasn't sure how strict the rules are.

All us other clones with full size blasters will make fun of you though.....DeafTrooper wrote:I have a some-what related question. Re: Sith question
It's always about size, isn't it.
Re: Sith question
I was going to go there, but I figured I'd let someone else tackle it!!

Re: Sith question
Lumpy, did you ever make a ROTJ black Luke costume?
I'd want to make a Sith based on that outfit. Please email me if you have or know of the patterns used to make this!

I had one, but I didn't make it.
It's long gone now.
