Even $650 is not bad if it comes with the finished bucket.

Yes. Getting the kit form version means the gray stickers with the TK black lines in them don't need to be used, if someone wants to convert it into a movie styled TD helmet. So either style can be done with that kit. TK or TD.

Did everyone see that they switched what they are making this armor out of? Switched from ABS to PVC. Some pvc is more rubbery than the pvc pipes are made of and are not easily worked. I wonder what other changes will take place before we see this stuff! :whatthe:

RS Props already does their own TK armor out of PVC. They also offer ABS, but from what I've seen, pretty much everyone orders theirs in PVC from them for whatever reason. ABS is what the movie suits were done in, but PVC is very high gloss for the "idealized" appearance. So for the guys who go nuts polishing their armor all the time (not screen accurate), the PVC "looks" nicer because it maintains the high gloss look.

Idealized is the perfect word. We were talking over on bs.n about how things can creep in that aren't screen accurate, but become what one is used to seeing.

Like how arched the visor is on a Scout bucket (or a super super shiny TK). I'm so used to seeing my KS -which is a bit flatter visor arch- that the screen buckets look weird even though they're correct. I dunno

I pulled the trigger on the Kit this morning. I am looking forward to building or acquiring the accessories this year so but he time the armor is shipped. Planning on building all winter in prep for submitting to the 501st in the spring of 2016. I am in West Michigan so I'll be on the look out for some build parties once the Anovos ships.

Still at $450 for the kits until July 9th. Anyone who is on the fence about becoming a TK - you have 10 days left to order.

I just ordered the Imperial Shadow Trooper paid in full, $411 includes helmet and S&H. New pending member John Headman and I ordered one each. Due for arrival this winter.

Anovos just now has a new classic TK deal. Still $650 kits, but they are now offering the armor - minus neck seal, undersuit, gloves for $450. Helmet and belt still come assembled as they always have with their kits.

I think they realized many people like getting their own undersuit and gloves, so are knocking $200 off their kit price if you don't want those, but you'll have to get your own neck seal, since that also won't be included unless you buy the normal $650 set.
