Wash the parts really good before painting. And then wash them again.

That fit is fine. Some are perfectly seamed and some have huge gaps.

Re: Helmet Fans
Very few people troop without a fan. They're very inexpensive for the comfort they bring and well worth having in my opinion. I've had them in my Stormtrooper bucket since day 1.JasonH wrote:Hi All
As I am just getting started, is this fan thing necessary? Thanks in advance

Re: Sgtsuneded's Vader WIP
I've have most of the Vader costume that I wear when I do the Darth Gonzo (Complete without bucket and boots). Its the worst costume to wear and I dont wish it on anyone. Wearing a TK is like a bathing suit after wearing Darth in the same day. Buckets off to you Darth costumers.

Re: NCS Photog?
Yup I read and understood what it was. I didn't know if it was an official title. I read a past forum where a guy wanted to be NCS but it was stated that until he was registered(?) (trying to remember the way it was put) that the time didn' count. So from the message above essentially keep doing wh...

Re: NCS Photog?
NCS stands for Non Costumed Support. You can volunteer for any event as NCS as long as there is room. Usually we don't have enough. Just talk to the individual Event Coordinator of any event and let them know you're interested in helping out at their event.

Nothing beats doing it yourself. It's fun, you will feel proud to wear it, and it fits perfectly.

Be sure to run this by the Legion Merchandise Officer if you haven't already.

Re: Beginning ATA Build
Check Harbor freight for clamps. They are much cheaper. Cheaper in quality as well, but are good enough for what you are using them for.

Re: Beginning ATA Build
I don't have an ATA, I have an AP but I think you wanna cut closer to the rough part. Then if you need it smaller trim more then. Once you cut it, it's gone forever. There are several methods to cut such as scissors, dremel and score and snap. I recommend reading on whitearmor all of the methods and...

The magic eraser works great on TK armor. It should work if it isn't paint. I would hate for it to come off.

Re: Dying black boots white??
Here's a link of someone dying their boots and what they look like after trooping. If someone steps on your boots you will constantly be touching them up. If you want 100% screen accuracy then go for it. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/22953-jodhpur-dye-boots/?hl=%2Bpainting+%2Bboots+%2Bwhite#...

You will definitely need a smaller helmet with that armor or you will look like a bobble head once that armor is trimmed down. (assuming it can be done).

I kinda like the orange. All you need is a hunting license on your back and your good to go wookiee and Ewok hunting for sport.
