Re: Cosplay sky trustworthy

I also had a good experience with cosplay sky. As Kat said above, send in tons and tons of measurements - I believe there is a list of measurements somewhere on the officer detachment if you search "cosplay sky". My only issue was that my pants were about 8 inches too large but with a belt...

Re: Possible armor modifications?

I don't have a TK myself but have you tried the forums on whitearmor.net? There are tons of helpful folks there who are experts with this kind of armor.

Re: Episode VII costumes

Be careful spending big $$ on parts that may not be CRL approvable. As of now, the only episode 7 costume that has guidelines (that I know of) is the new Stormtrooper. Worst case scenario you may need to replace/re-purchase parts of your final costume for approval.

Although he isn't a Sith Lord, there are also quite a lot of Kylo Ren threads in the Sith Lords Detachment.

I love that shiny polished armor Flash. I was gazing into it to see if I could see my reflection in it from my computer monitor!

Re: Episode VII costumes

I've been considering Kylo Ren but not sure I'm ready to tackle another costume so soon after Vader. At any rate, I'll wait until CRLs are out, as I'm not about ready to start sinking money and time into something without knowing if it is approvable. That said, I did preorder his FX Lightsaber. At f...

Re: Darth Vader body suit

As ripcode stated, the sith lord forums are ESSENTIAL reading/research for building an approvable Vader costume. As of now, there are 2 main venders of approvable leather suits, and you can choose between 1,2, and 3 piece designs. Check out: FenixProps.com Custom-Props (check out Claudio Oliver on h...

Sorry to lose my partner in crime but someone will be getting a bargain for only $3000. Approved Chewies usually sell for much more.

Re: Great Lakes Fitness Center

When I dropped the 140 lbs I measured myself every day in the morning and although it did go up and down I only measured the difference in the margin once a week. It's mainly just a reminder to myself to change things. If I really wanted it to change I'd weigh myself right after a 80 mile bike ride,...

Re: Great Lakes Fitness Center

Thanks for bringing this thread back to life wags. I too need to lose weight (for better health and to make my future Groot project more screen accurate). I weighed over 300 lbs when I graduated from college. I got into cycling and got down to an unhealthy (considering my height) 162. Now my scale r...

It is indeed a great book. I was surprised by the number of high quality, close up photos from the archives. It's pricey but great reference!
