Re: Uploaded costume
Hey guys, I just uploaded a few of my costumes, how long should it take? I’m excited to join you! :D :D Hello Christine. We did get the two costumes you submitted. The big red flag here is that the Republic Commando: Fixer pictures you sent have been verified to be a combination of pictures of othe...

Re: Do optional items need approval
Since they're a gun/holster set, and guns aren't even needed for 501st costume approvals, as long as the parts you have look close to what those two pictures from the CRL show, you should be fine.

Re: Newbie working on CPT Howzer build
We do. But they are sporadic. Here and there, if people plan them in different areas of the state. Or sometimes they end up being shorter notice, like if a few people that lived somewhat near each other had nothing going on in "real life" and felt like building stuff that upcoming weekend ...

I saw you post on the CTD forum. Nice. That'll be the major research area for you. But any clones around GLG here will also be able to chime in if you needed specific info.

I just use blocks of sheet foam to position my head in place inside my TK helmet.

Events haven't slowed down at all lately, so whenever you feel like it, there's always more events to go to.

Post a pic of how the inside looks. There's usually ways to fiddle around with lens placement to get them closer to the eye openings.

Re: Can we use EVA foam?
While I've seen some seriously awesome looking EVA costumes of all sorts of genres at conventions, it seems none of the Star Wars costume groups (501st/Rebels/Mando Mercs) allow EVA foam armor builds. Some accessory pieces, sure, I can see that being done. But for main armor kits, I've never persona...

Re: New person
That checklist sheet in that picture says Imperial Surplus. As far as I know, he's the only 501st vendor who even makes this armor. So yes, once the hard armor parts are trimmed / sanded / glued together and strapped to fit your own body, you should be good to go. In the meantime, submit the Juno pi...

Re: New person
Gio is one of the normal 501st footwear vendors, and the two boots you pictured are the same two that are shown in the CRL, so you're good to go with whichever one you like.

Re: Looking for a 3D Printer capable of printing Clone Trooper Armor
Jimmiroquai is the only one making Crosshair armor currently. It's flexible fiberglass, not vacform. But it still exists as a kit.

Re: New to the group
What Aether said. If it's one of the "main character ones" from the TV show, that would be a place to go. But if it's a custom Mando of your own design, then this is where the Mando forum is to ask whatever you need to know: https://mandalorianmercs.org/forum/index.php

Members were talking about it on the Facebook group last week, but it appears since no theaters submitted actual 501st requests, it's up to us what we do or do not for that date.

They have had the garrison out at every one of their cons, so it will get posted in the events section whenever they submit it for the April show. Their main con is still in November this year.

I use black nomex flight gloves. The longer cuff tucks nicely into the forearm armor.

From what I've seen, some armor kits do have the plastic film cover and some do not.
