What costume are you working on?
Each costume type has a dedicated forum where you can maintain a build log, communicate with prospective and current members, study other people's builds, source reputable vendors...

Re: Looking for build tips and tricks
We have character-specific web sites called "detachments" where you can find armor vendors and all the info on how to put it all together. Do a ton of reading/research into the costume you want to do before buying anything. You can find the list of detachments here:

Stay FAR AWAY from Ebay, Amazon or any other web site that claims to make approvable armor. Almost all are scams or sell complete junk.
