What is the best padding to put inside a clone helmet. I am at a loss as what to use and how to put it in. I have seen some pre made stuff on ebay, would that be the way to go or is there something else that I should be looking at?

You can go as simple or elaborate as you want as long as it sits on your head right and it's comfortable. Some have really nice padding inside and I just use 3 pieces of foam (one on top, and one on each side) held in by duct tape.

I just did it real simple and glued air conditioner foam into mine.

I used the padding that was sent with my helmet. I have three pieces on top and two small pieces on the back of my head. Just where I thought I needed it to have a good fit on my head.

I use a free piece of egg crate foam, I got from some computer packing almost (7) years ago. It's not even glued it. Just tucked inside the helmet.
