[WEST MI/GRAND RAPIDS] Would like to host an armor party!

Hey guys,

Last fall I began working on TK (ANH Stunt) and progress stalled because I began losing weight fairly rapidly due to some lifestyle changes. Fortunately, that means I fit very well into my armor and won't need shims! So I'm ready to get back at it.

I've seen some people mention they're interested in an armor party but no one ever came up with any concrete plans. What I'd like to do is host and see if anyone is interested-- newbies, veterans, whomever. I would love to get together and trade techniques, while we help each other finish our kits. Currently, mine just needs some cutting and strapping; I'm kind of in the home stretch so to speak.

Any takers? Beer and pizza will be provided if everything works out!

Definitely before winter gets here. I'm thinking either later this month, or some time in September/October. Really depends on what the consensus is with other peoples' availability.

Hey everyone! Really glad to see there's some interest.

I'm thinking a Friday or Saturday (or both!) in September would be most ideal. I have everything except September 15th completely open. How is everyone else's schedule looking?

Can't do Fridays.

First (2) weekends in September are "currently" open.

I am interested, first weekend is holiday, second weekend Saturday is full, doing a 3fer. But a Friday night is good.

I can do either Friday or Saturday but it sounds like Saturday is the preference (that would work better anyway with work etc.)

After I finish my Mando, could host something if members want to meet still. I have a great place got this. Maybe go for a March around my neighborhood for some great photos. I usually host a May the 4th Party and I have an annual Halloween Party every year. After all this COVID crap I bet you are all about to break out of your skin. I live in Battle Creek, Michigan. If people would like it, let me know and I’ll make a post for this year.
