You need to be looking in the unconfirmed section under legion events.

Hello all I am a future trooper my stormtrooper armor should arrive any day now. I still need to build it but in the meantime I would like to help out at some events to get a feel for things. I will do any job but I am an amateur photographer by trade and could take pictures at events. Just wondering how I go about getting invited or how I join an event.

Non Costumed Support (NCS) aka handlers, aka wranglers are very important to many of our events and a great way to meet other members and see what Trooping is all about while you finish your costume.

For your Stormtrooper build, if you haven't yet I highly recommend joining the forums at whitearmor.net which is the home of the First Imperial Stormtrooper Detachment of the 501st. There's a wealth of information and helpful folks who can help you along with your build.
