Comic Con and concerts!

The weekend of May 15-17 has scores of Star Wars costumers at Motor City Comic Con and Star Wars scores performed by the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.

Motor City Comic Con will have 70+ costumers from the 501st Legion and Rebel Legion during the weekend at the Rock Financial Showplace in Novi. Star Wars guests include Carrie Fisher ("Princess Leia"), Richard LeParmentier ("Admiral Motti"), Anthony Forrest ("Sandtrooper"), Felix Silla ("ewok"). Also at MCCC will be Lucasfilm artists and Honorary 501st Members Matt Busch , Dave Dorman, and Katie Cook. For times, ticket info, and media cancellations go here.

Orchestra Hall in Detroit is hosting "Star Trek meets Star Wars". The DSO will be performing scores from those two franchises and other movie music from John Williams, like Jurassic Park and Raiders of the Lost Ark. Members from the 501st Legion and Rebel Legion will be greeting guests before and after the concerts, and at intermission. Click here for tickets and show times.

The Great Lakes Garrison would like to thank the Detroit Tigers staff and their fans for a memorable '80s Night on May the 4th (be with You!). Our troopers had a great time and look forward to any future events at Comerica Park.
